It is a beautiful cover. In all seriousness, if it were a limited-edition poster, maybe signed by the artist, you could auction them off for a bit of change.
Also, the wing shapes on those birds are more consistent with seagulls than crows. And I won't get into the rather odd placement of the Space Needle right on the shores of Elliott Bay, nor the mis-judgement of perspective that makes those paddle boarders appear to be about 75 feet tall - that would just be picking nits.
I never would have looked twice at that cover had you not, vividly, dissected it. Most amusing. However I don't see the NF logo on those vests. My friend Pat used to work in the Pike market. One day he called me up and said "Farnham, what the fuck is up with these tourists wearing this NF shit?" As a long time climber I just pinched the bridge of my nose and made the Lurch sound.
I asked this ages ago on Questionland (remember that venture?), but it seems appropriate to ask again, since the topic is the cover: when is the Stranger going to make its covers available digitally, at print quality? I've got two framed on my wall (vol. 14, no. 26 and vol. 18, no. 10) and I would have at least one or two more if I could get them digitally.
but not orcas. orcas are cool.
Thanks, you beat me to it.
