I wish there was less grammar nazis

What a tedious thing to get upset about.

5

@3,

Seriously. I couldn't care fewer about this issue!

5

For the win.

@2 was first. And better.

In Trumpftopia (formerly USA) these Rules will make the difference
between living and dying: if you Know them, your Toast.

Q. "Can anyone with children weigh in here?"

A. Yes.

B. Oh, wait -- were you soliciting [for?] parental commentary?

Q. Ain't American Great?!

A. Thanks, Trumpf!

11

@8
Okay, I'll agree and give you that one.

12

Well, shit. I was debating going with "I could care fewer..." though I'm not sure it'd have pushed me over the hump.

13

Alas poor Fewer, I’ve been mourning your death for years.

14

4: Yes, I'm very sure the "left" (whatever that even means in this context) gives a shit about this.

15

Safeway actually gets this right on its express lane signage. It’s one of the things that hasn’t been messed up in the wake of the Albertson’s merger and move to Boise.

16

Grammar aside, can we talk about 15 items or fewer? Given the shopping habit of most urban residents, that's akin to having an HOV lane marked as 1+.

17

Perhaps the author speaks about a bigger problem: the decline of western civilization. The dumbing down of our youth because parents don’t give a shit enough to vote for education reform and pay teachers what they’re worth as they nurture the next generation teaching them how to speak, write and be decent humans

While I am not a fan of botching "fewer" and "less," this is another example of wagging a finger at poor writing in a piece that has some poor writing and errors. Dave, you'd tightened up a little, but you're back to your old ways here.

20

@18: "a piece that has some poor writing and errors"

Okay, show your work... What's poor and what's erroneous?

@8,11,12,

I say we all won. We need more winners, not less.
