Can anyone summarize what has happened to the drag aesthetic since then? Why does all drag these days look like a cross between a clown and a luchador mask? How did it become a type of woman you'd never see - anywhere? It comes off as trying to scare people with the exaggerated makeup. Why did excess replace elegance?
