This All-Star sweep conspiracy theory is really starting to take off!
Two questions:
As I've read right here in the Stranger, Seattle sweeps homeless encampments all the time. How can we tell whether the current sweeps are the result of the All-Star Game, or just the status quo?
Second, if the intent is to keep sketchy RV's away from the stadium, how come the no parking restrictions lapse the day prior or day of the game?* Wouldn't it make more sense to extend the no parking restrictions until after the game is over?
*"All of these temporary parking bans will end the day of or the day before the All-Star game on Tuesday." https://www.thestranger.com/news/2023/07/06/79067140/the-city-sweeps-sodo-ahead-of-all-star-game
“And that's why there was greater pressure from the top to end the capital-killing lockdown, end mask-wearing, and return to people-packed ships and stadiums as if the pandemic was over. We not only live in the age of necro-economics but also event capitalism.”
Marxism allows for only one villain: capitalism. Eliminate capitalism, and every other social ill will either magically vanish, or become tractable. This explains both the appeal of Marxism to simplistic thinkers, and the justification it provides for the relentless extremism of Marxist regimes: if capitalism is indeed the one true evil, if indeed eliminating capitalism will solve all problems, or is even a necessary condition for the solution of all problems, then the only course of action which is right and good is to eradicate all traces of capitalism from humanity, using any amount of force deemed necessary.
In the pandemic case, humans are social animals, and like to congregate in groups. COVID required everyone, worldwide, to restrict severely their congregations. Unsurprisingly, there was intense pressure to end these restrictions. Charles’ misplacement of the blame here is akin to ignoring human thirst, and instead blaming exclusively the capitalists who profit from bottled water.

"Christ, what an asshole" as usual.
You must enjoy being a tedious douchebag.
Welp, as long as you aren't abusing people or critters, you can be as big of an idiot online as you want to be.
Do you think that people don't notice your dumb ass?
Chirp, Chirp, Chirp, you fucking moron.
