The handheld camera style was a bit jarring at the time (as films were just starting to do that (again)). The movement is more pronounced than what would eventually become of the norm in tv sitcoms and elsewhere and people will likely notice that nowadays. It was kinda crazy experiencing it in a theater though back then though. One review described it as like being "...on the deck of a hurricane-tossed ocean liner".
