Ted Bundy is a suspect in a Tacoma cold case: It's been rumored for a long time that notorious serial killer Ted Bundy may have killed his first victim, 8-year-old Ann Marie Burr, when he was 14. Bundy lived near Burr and had a paper route in her neighborhood. Her body was never found, and Bundy denied any involvement. However, Tacoma investigators are reinvestigating the cold case to see if Bundy really did it.

Stop painting swastikas on the turtles at Gene Coulon Park!!! People have been spotting tagged turtles in the Renton park for the last month. Police have tried to capture the hate-crimed turtles, but they keep slipping away. There is a "Rally Against Hate" planned in the park this weekend in response to the vandalized turtles. "Unfortunately, anti-Semitic vandalism is becoming all too common in this climate," the Anti-Defamation League told the Seattle Times about the turtle crime.

No Tim Hortons ever again for this Washington neo-Nazi: Kaleb Cole, the leader of the Washington unit of the Atomwaffen Division, a neo-Nazi group, was detained in Canada for 42 days. Immigration authorities considered him such a serious threat to the Canadian people that they never let him into the country, deported him, and banned him from Canada for life. So he's back in Washington. In September, Seattle police seized all of his weapons.

Japan companies institute a dress code for female workers: The dress code? No glasses. It apparently makes workers in a retail setting come off as "cold." The ban has sparked a backlash. It's similar to a recent controversy where a Japanese woman was made to wear high heels at her job... in a funeral parlor.

Local NAACP president suspended: Seattle King County NAACP president Sadiqa Sakin is embroiled in controversy about financial impropriety concerning herself and her predecessor. Checks have bounced and apparently the official NAACP credit card has been abused. More here.

Dry today, some weather tomorrow: We'll get a few showers tomorrow.

Seattle Weather Blog is predicting a snowy winter: I don't understand any of this weather-speak, but apparently the signs are all there for a snowier than average winter in Seattle. It may not be last February levels of snowy, however.

Orangutan is declared a person, moves to Florida: Sandra, an orangutan, was legally declared a non-human person in a 2015 court case in Argentina. While she legally enjoys more rights than your average animal, Sandra is still living in captivity. She was recently moved to the Center for Great Apes in Wauchula, Florida.

Big news: Alaska Airlines will give you priority boarding if you're holding a Starbucks holiday cup.

Las Vegas takes the wrong approach: The Las Vegas City Council has passed a law that bans homeless people from sleeping on the streets of its downtown and some residential areas. The ordinance "makes it a misdemeanor to rest, sleep, or 'lodge'" in these places while shelter beds are available. Despite the opposition that said this only serves to criminalize the homeless and further perpetuate the cycle of homelessness, the ordinance passed and will be put into practice on Sunday.

Congrats: The Collins Dictionary has named its 2019 word of the year. And it is... "climate strike."

A real thing that the president of the United States did: "The president admitted misusing money raised by the Donald J. Trump Foundation to promote his presidential bid, pay off business debts, and purchase a portrait of himself for one of his hotels," writes the New York Times. Trump, a state judge has ruled, will have to pay $2 million in damages to nonprofit groups. These crimes? Yeah, no big deal, they were just against charity.

Robot cheetahs, what could go wrong?: Here is a video of robot cheetahs "acting fun and cute." I'm sure everyone thought the velociraptors in Jurassic Park were fun and cute, too. Well, I guess we know they didn't, because Robert Muldoon warned against them from the beginning. Maybe I should have said "like the compys in Jurassic Park." Okay, nailed the comparison. Here's the video:

Date night turns deadly: One employee is dead and 10 more people have been hospitalized after exposure to chemicals at a Massachusetts Buffalo Wild Wings. The chemical involved? Sodium hypochlorite, the main ingredient in bleach.

A fun fact for your Friday: Blood banks in Sweden notify donors whenever their blood is used. Via text message too!

I will leave you with this video of a whale playing fetch: Happy weekend.
